Chetan Bhagat Launches 'The Illegitimate Tree' Book

The illegitimate tree is a book written in a simple style with the intention of expressing genuinely felt experiences. The poet feels the pinch of pain and is sensitive to the pain around her. She wants to reach out and make a difference however small that may be.
Launched on April 10 by Chetan Bhagat, The Illegitimate Tree has already bagged appreciation from the reviewers.

Her book, titled 'The Illegitimate Tree & Other Poems' is a collection of poems that journeys through love, pain, irony, divinity and touch of life, presented in a fresh new voice.
Sharada Sunder, a Chartered Accountant cum media professional, now turned into a housewife, has become the newest entrant to surmount the resistances and get her book of poems published. "Poetry is not about challenges or commerce. It is self expression, delicately carved from words, and meant to delight the self and the audience," she says.

google phone journeys into space

Seven styrofoam beer coolers sit lined up behind the open hatchback of an SUV, parked next to a soccer field in California's rural Central valley. Each box contains a black Google Nexus S phone, mounted with their cameras facing out through a clear plastic cut-out in the side. Some of the boxes/phones have consumer-grade wide-angle sport video cameras mounted on the outside, odd bits of custom-soldered circuitry poke out of others.

In a few hours these coolers will be lifted to the edge of space, dangling beneath huge helium-filled weather balloons.
The team, made up of Google engineers and students from the University of California, Santa Cruz, is mainly curious to see how well the phone's sensors cope with a freezing cold near-vacuum

Future's Here: Dan Brown Kindle Sales Top Hardcove

Here's something to get conspiracy theorists buzzing: Dan Brown fans would rather read his latest thriller on a screen than on the paper page.

According to sales figures for the The Lost Symbol, the latest in the Landon series the author of The DaVinci Code, the Amazon e-book version of the 528-page tome is outselling the hardcover edition since it was released to the public Tuesday.

And that's not peanuts – the book has already broken Barnes & Noble's one-day adult-fiction sales record.

Of course, as with every Brown plot, things aren't all that they may seem, and there are other factors to consider, including the Kindle version's $9.99 price versus the hardcover's $16.17, as well as the possibility that market for the hardcover has already been saturated, as PaidContent.org points out.

Not all love stories are meant to have a perfect ending. Some stay incomplete. Yet they are beautiful in their own way. Ravin’s love story is one such innocent and beautiful story. He believes love stories seldom die. They are meant to stay for the generations yet to come and read them. And given that one chance to narrate his love story, this is how he began…

…I remember the date well: 4th March 2006. I was in Kolkata and about to reach Happy’s home. I had been very excited all morning as I was going to see our gang of four after three years.

Start about one minute in to see the device in action.
According to the study, 60 patients with hemiplegia (paralysis on one side of the body) due to a stroke were given physical therapy. Half of the group received robot-assisted therapy using a Reo Therapy System by Motorika Ltd. (Caesarea, Israel), which repeatedly moves the forearm in various pre-programmed directions. The other half spent the same amount of time undergoing traditional rehabilitation.
